Rarely do I look at a standalone scanner, but should you need to scan other than documents then a specialised standalone scanner comes to the fore especially for negatives and slides.

Review Verdict: I would suggest that you will need a reasonable large number or transparencies or negatives to make the purchase of this unit viable. However the output it produced was excellent and I now am able to print some images from the past that the original print

Review Verdict: For probably the best quality and authenticity of photo reproduction, the ScanJet G4010's 6-colour system is going to be hard to beat. It's a shame that it's let down by an unfriendly negative holder and overly complex operating software.
