The Steam Vac really cleans, and is quick and easy to use. I had a Bissell Big Green Machine for several years. It worked, but with a lot of set up and mixing of cleaner. The Hoover was able to pull up a lot of dirt from carpets recently cleaned, and the carpets were visably cleaner. The machine works fantastically for small spot cleaning, as well as doing a complete carpet. Filling as well as emptying the machine is quick and easy.

Pros: Rotating and lateral movement brushes really clean. Automatic cleaner injector is ideal.
Cons: I haven't found any cons at this time, after a dozen uses, both complete and spot.
